Meet our fiber partners...
Our fiber is sourced from family farms both domestic and abroad. From that point on the entire process is all done in my home. I have developed relationships with local farmers raising various breeds of fiber-producing animals. Communing with the animals in their natural habitat is an endless inspiration. I’ve held newborn sheep, watched llamas get shorn, and played with alpacas. Seeing the range of coats they produce sparks my creative imagination as to how different sheep fibers may take to different dyes and the experimental nature of my process. That’s why no two batches of Sandpiper yarn are ever the same -- mirroring and celebrating the variety found in nature.
